Ministries Offered by the Church
GMS has ministries that meet the needs of the congregates and the community
Citizens of Grace
The Senior Adult Ministries provides multiple opportunities throughout the years for those 55 years of age and older, including small group participation. Senior Adult minister Tracy Hill and Lady Lula Hill provides positive guidance and support to our Seniors Adult Ministries while encouraging them to remain active and productive Saints. The Citizens of Grace meet quarterly and have three major events planned every year.
Marriage Ministry
Foundation of Faith Marriage & Family Ministry is a wonderful ministry that provides encouragement to married couples at GMS. The Marriage Ministry trains couples to lead marriage enrichment classes, workshops, seminars, ministries and programs. Engaging in group discussion, live entertainment, and dialogue on how to live healthy relationships. This group participates in off-site activities such as dinner, outreach, and sports.
Singles Ministry
The Singles Ministry, singles having a real purpose mission is to liberate and empower our families and those we come in contact with one by one through Bible Study, Service and Fellowship, in living Godly lives to make disciples for Christ. The ministry meets on the Third Friday of every month. the purpose is to empower singles to understand that singleness is not a curse by in Christ a blessing and a fift which can be offered to Christ in his desires to use them for His glory. Counseling through the Word of God, instructing and preparing those who seek to enter into a covenant relationship of marriage is provided to both men and women. All singles will be encouraged to enjoy their single life by planning group travel and activities appropriate for singles.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry of GMS seeks to empower women in our local and global communities through the work of God, Worship and community outreach, Special sessions will be designed to give healing comfort, encouragement and empowerment. The women’s ministry meets the first Thursday of every month through our Majestic Mondays providing dinner, bible discussions, tips on becoming physically and mentally whole. The women’s ministry provides care packages and inspiration to communities.
Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry is to empower men to be all they can be through Christ Jesus, through clear, biblical instruction showing them who they are meant to truly be by God’s design rather than the standards of the world. To help men rejoice in the God of their salvation. The Men’s Ministry assist those seeking to be successful, to feel significant and to have meaning in life. Men want to be good husbands, good fathers and the spiritual leaders of their families. But many of them do not know how to accomplish these goals.
New Eternal Worship “NEW” Youth and Young Adult Ministry
Greater Mt. Sinai Youth and Young Adults, New Eternal Worship “NEW”, seeks to educate and fulfil the scriptures to train a child up in the most productive way. The purpose is to unite the “NEW” as one family in Christ, present exciting activities for young people and encourage youth to welcome a love for Jesus and His Church. The “NEW” Ministry is designed for children, and young adult single and married individuals under the age of 35. Various activities are planned throughout the year including family outings, sporting events, retreats, snow tubing trips, and cookouts.
Outreach Ministry
We assist any needy individuals in the community. The outreach ministry extends beyond the walls of the Church, using our gifts and skills to impact the Kingdom of God. We show the love of God to His people by providing both physically and spiritually feeding individuals who are hungry and in need.
New Members Classes
The new members learn to assimilate new people into the body of Christ; the goal of our new members class is to maintain a culture of high expectations of every church member. during new members’ classes, participants learn the ordinances of the Church, such as the Lord’s Supper and Baptism, and are introduced to Sunday School and Bible Study. At GMS, we encourage and promote spiritual growth and maturity in the Lord. We believe in the words of Timothy, where he wrote in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth”
Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry is led by a group -the Forerunners-Committee chosen by the leading of the Holy Spirit, to stand in the gap for GMS Church ministry, to offer prayers of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication unto God Almighty through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour for the uplifting of the Body of Christ, the household of faith, sanctification, deliverance, healing and salvation.
The Mission is to facilitate the move of the Holy Spirit in individuals in corporate gatherings and in personal interactions. Group prayer initiates the heart with a desire and zeal for more effective and persistent communication with God one-on one.
